BREAKING: Tinubu Swears In George Akume As New SGF

Senator George Akume was sworn in by President Bola Tinubu as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Wednesday in the council chamber.
Akume took the oaths of office and allegiance in the presence of other government authorities.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, and the spouse of the new SGF Mrs. Regina Akume were all in attendance for the swearing-in.
The SGF was appointed by the President on Friday. Sen. Ibrahim Hadejia, a former deputy governor of Jigawa State, was chosen to serve as the chief of staff’s deputy, and he also named the outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, as his new chief of staff.
