A Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, has ordered that Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, also known as Trinity Guy, remain behind bars until the next adjourned date of August 3, 2023, for allegedly sexually harassing a minor in a popular skit video.
The parents of the suspected minor, Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife Rofiat Ahmed, 29, were ordered to be kept on remand by the trial court that rendered this decision on Tuesday.
Recall that in June, the prankster was charged by the police and appeared in court.
It was learnt that Abdullahi and the victim’s parents were both accused by the police of conspiring to commit sexual abuse and exploitation.
According to Inspector Oluwakemi Arowosaye, who represents the prosecution, Abdullahi, Ahmed, and his wife Rofiat planned to assault children sexually.
Arowosaye stated that “Trinity” was accused of sexually abusing and exploiting a 10-year-old girl in the Kuola neighbourhood of Ibadan on December 17, 2022.
According to the police, the offence violated Section 35 (1) and was punishable under Section 35 (2) of the Oyo State Child Rights Law 2006.
She alleged that did not comply with Section 516 of the Oyo State 2000 Criminal Code Laws.
