Ex-CBN Gov Sanusi In Crucial Close Door Meeting With President Tinubu

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the former Emir of Kano, and President Bola Tinubu are currently conversing behind closed doors at the State House.
The meeting of the former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) with the President is barely one week after Godwin Emefiele was suspended as the CBN Governor.

The agenda of the meeting has yet to be made public, but Objectv Media learnt the it might be re-appointment of the former CBN chairman.
Recall that Sanusi led the CBN from June 2009 to June 2014, when Emefiele succeeded him.
The President removed Emefiele as the head of the top bank on Friday and ordered that Folashodun Shonubi, the bank’s deputy governor of operations, take over in an acting capacity.
