The lack of petrol and the increase in the pump price, which ranges from N270 to N400 per litre, have many Nigerians whining.
The flag bearer addressed the crowd in Yoruba and claimed that some individuals were actively trying to sabotage the next elections.
Tinubu, who withheld the identities of those responsible for the shortage, also charged those same individuals with hoarding the currency in an effort to thwart the next election.
Despite the hardships, he pleaded with the populace to vote for him despite the shortage of fuel and increase in gas prices.
The APC would win the election, according to Tinubu, who was joined by his running partner Kashim Shetima, the governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, the first national chairman of the APC, Bisi Akande, and others.
He said, “They keep fuel, they keep money, they are the ones who know why they are doing that.
“If you like, change the ink of the naira. We are going to win and the PDP will fall down.
“The city boy is here. I am the son of the soil. We will take the government from them. The bad people.
“They don’t want the election to take place. They want to stop the election. Will you allow them?”
