Gov. Sanwo-Olu Tasks DSS, Police To Conduct Thorough Investigation On Mohbad’s Death

A thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of music star Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (aka MohBad) has been ordered by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, in coordination with the Department of State Service, with the goal of ensuring justice.
Recall that concerned citizens, especially young people, are getting ready to stage a nationwide protest to alert the appropriate authorities to the need to secure justice for the deceased’s family and the grieving.

In a statement released by Gbenga Omotoso, the commissioner for information and strategy, announced Sanwo-Olu’s order.
Sanwo-Olu, however, expressed sympathy to the bereaved family, friends, supporters, and locals over the tragic passing of the budding musician, whose untimely death is shrouded in mystery.
Full statement read, “The Lagos State Government has noted the developments that have followed the death of music star Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (aka MohBad).
“The Government commiserates with his family and fans. We feel the pains of losing such a talented and promising young man, who made a name for himself in a highly competitive industry.
“May The Almighty grant his soul rest and comfort his bereaved family and fans.
“Following, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s directive, the Police in Lagos State have launched a major investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the young star.
“A 19-man police panel has been tasked with solving the musician’s death’s mystery.
“In addition to this, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has urged the Department of State Services (DSS) to assist with the inquiry in order to broaden the dragnet through interagency cooperation and the deployment of top-notch technology.
“After a thorough inquiry, Mr. Sanwo-Olu has ordered that everyone who may have had any involvement at all in the circumstances that led to MohBad’s death be brought to justice.
“Consequently, Department of State Services (DSS) has also joined the investigation so as to get justice for the youngster, his family and teeming fans.
“The Government implores everyone who could be in possession of crucial information that could help the inquiry process to provide it to the investigative team.
“The government also asks the investigative team to ensure the privacy and safety of any witnesses who could come forward with crucial information or circumstantial evidence that could help the case.
“The government requests that all mourners maintain composure and refrain from expressing strong opinions or drawing unfair judgements about this case.
“Additionally, the bereaved family should be permitted to mourn their loss in silence. The government, the family, and MohBad’s supporters are all going through a tough moment. Any action that can make the grieving worse should be avoided.
“The Police and the DSS have been urged to update the public on their efforts on a regular basis.”
