Imo Labour Party Guber Aspirant Found Dead In Lagos Home

Humphrey Anumudu, a Labour Party gubernatorial aspirant in the forthcoming governorship primary holding in Imo State, Humphrey Anumudu, has been found dead in his house.

Anumudu had just returned from a meeting at the LP secretariat in Abuja when he was discovered dead in his house in Lagos.

The dead was a native of the ancient Mbieri Kingdom, which is located in Imo State’s Mbaitoli Local Government Area.

A family friend spoke with The Punch on the condition of anonymity confirmed the death saying the auto merchant died on Friday evening in Lagos.

Anumudu was a multibillionaire businessman and politician who had been running for the state’s governorship since 1998 until his death.

He was reportedly the victor of the Peoples Democratic Party’s primary for governor in the state in 1998 before Achike Udenwa was given the ticket and went on to lead the state from 1999 to 2007.
