Incompetence: Tinubu Ready To Sack Any Ministers Below Performance – Ajuri Ngelale

Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, stated on Monday that President Bola Tinubu will not condone any failure of any of the ministers, and that Tinubu is not afraid to remove any minister who is ineffective.
Ngelale stated on Channels Television’s Daily Rise that since becoming president in February 2023, Tinubu had set standards for each sector in the nation.

The standards have been set by the President. The President has demonstrated that he is not someone who is reluctant to fire people, as he did during his tenure as governor of Lagos State, and the matter at hand is enforcement.
“He is not someone who is hesitant to impose swift punishments to guarantee that they achieve the outcomes he desires because, in the end, if this government fails, they will not attribute the failure to a minister or group of ministers. They’ll claim President Bola Tinubu failed, but he won’t accept failure,” he said.
Ngelale also said that Tinubu proactively set up a number of reform groups that included representatives from every industry from the time he emerged as the President-elect and his inauguration on May 29.
He stated, “[Tinubu] basically looked at exactly what His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari had accomplished and said, “This is what we want to do to build on all these achievements.”
“We will efficiently put a strategy into action within a predetermined time frame based on time-based benchmarks, against which we will be able to assess the effectiveness of a minister when they are appointed.
“Every minister coming in absolutely knows what they have to accomplish within the time frame that has been set forth by the President, and that is something we have never seen before in the history of Nigerian governance.”
