Lagos, Ogun, Oyo Declares Monday Public Holiday For Isese Day

Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, has approved August 20 as Isese Day and gone further to declare Monday, 21 August public holiday to mark the day.
According to a separate circular, the top three state Governors; Babjide Sanwo-Olu, Dapo Abiodun , Seyi Makinde urged traditional worshippers in the state to use the occasion to pray for the peace, unity and stability of the state in particular and the country in general.

The approval indicates the governor’s commitment to inclusivity and respect for all religious practices in the state.
Ondo, Osun and Ekiti are yet to recognise the day, devoted to holders of traditional faiths.
Traditionalists in Kwara are also determined to celebrate the day.
