LAWMA Truck Accidentally Crushes Worker to Death in Lagos

There was tension at the Ogudu and Alapere axis in Lagos on Monday as a waste collection truck accidentally crushed its worker to death during waste collection operation.

The worker facilitating customers’ wastes into the truck was still busy in the waste compartment when the driver accidentally released the hydraulic to compress the the waste without knowing the worker was still in it.

The hydraulic instantly crushed the worker on his head. The worker died almost instantly.

The incident caused many residents, commuters to pause their activities to give assistance and sympathize with the waste collection workers.
