My 2 Months Old Marriage Crashed – Popular Socialist, Farida Sobowale Who Tried To Plunge Into Lagos Lagoon Reveals

Farida Abdulkabir, also known as Farida Sobowale, a well-known socialite in Lagos State, gave an explanation of her decision to jump into a lagoon while standing on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

Frustrations, a failed marriage, and a number of other factors, according to Abdulkabir, who also happens to be the owner of House of Phreedah, contributed to her action on Thursday night.

She claimed in a widely shared voice message on social media that her N100 million marriage to Demola Okulaja, another Lagos socialite, fell apart after two months.

In a widely shared video, Abdulkabir was captured being convinced to stop jumping while rescuers reassured her there was no need to kill her. Then, she was hurried away in her car and driven to an undisclosed location.

The socialite and businesswoman with a fair complexion runs a spa and salon on Akerele Street in Surulere, Lagos.

Farida, whose marriage had failed, had resolved to commit suicide as a result, and she did so when she got out of her black Sport Utility Vehicle on the Third Mainland Bridge and plunged into the lagoon.

A spectacular marriage between her and Demola Okulaja, another socialite from Lagos, took place roughly two months ago.

Abdulkabir said after Okulaja walked out of the matrimonial home, she’s been frustrated with many suicidal attempts.

While this was going on, Farida and her estranged husband got into arguments, shared shocking details about their family on social media, attacked one another, and used profane language to describe one another.
