National Assembly Clears Wike For Ministerial Role

Nyesom Wike, the most recent governor of Rivers State, has received approval from the Senate to serve in a ministerial capacity on Monday.
Wike remarked that his love for Nigeria drove him to accept the ministerial offer after listing his accomplishments and curriculum vitae.

He said, “My passion for serving Nigeria led me to accept the offer to serve as a ministerial nominee.”
Wike was hailed as the best politician in River State by the legislators, who were represented by Senator Barinada Mpigi (PDP, Rivers Southeast), during the screening.
“Our best in Rivers State is His Excellency former Governor Nyesom Wike,” he declared. He serves as our mentor and leader.
“Distinguished senators, we employ that you should let him just take a bow and go.
“His resume is insufficient to enumerate the works that he has done.”
He was then instructed to bow and depart by Senate President GodsWill Akpabio.
The former governor of Rivers was one of the initial ministerial nominations Tinubu sent to the Senate.
