The Labour Party’s (LP) national chairman, Julius Abure, predicts that the tribunal would announce Peter Obi as the president of Nigeria soon.
Abure spoke while addressing some Nigerians in the United States during a tour of the country.
Obi who came third in the presidential election held in February and his party are challenging the outcome of the poll.
They are asking the court to overturn Bola Tinubu’s win as the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate.
A judgement from the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT, is anticipated on or before September 16 according to Abure, who is currently touring the US and the UK.
“We altered the political narratives in Nigeria as a result of Peter Obi’s participation in the 2023 general election. We competed with them well,” he remarked.
“They have murdered sleep and they will sleep no more. They have stolen what is not for them and they will not sleep until we recover it all.”
