Simon Ekpa, an Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) member residing in Finland, has stated that the agitators of the independent nation of Biafra will do measures that are best known to them without connecting them to their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

In a video posted to his Twitter account on Sunday, Ekpa made this revelation and added that the agitators wanted Kanu to be secure.

The self-described Kanu follower made this statement just 24 hours after the IPOB leader gave him the go-ahead to halt advocating for sit-at-home protests in the southeast.

In a press conference in Enugu on Friday, Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, said the detained IPOB helmsman sent him to Ekpa through an handwritten letter to stop enforcing the sit-at-home.

He also asked him to stop antagonising the governors, as he did not know what they were doing on his behalf.

However, Ekpa stated in the video from Sunday that they were no longer following DSS dungeon orders because they wanted to protect their commander, “We want to protect our leader and absolve him of any wrongdoing by Biafrans so that he can act in his own self-interest.

“So you don’t attach Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to any actions that Biafra people take in Biafra land,” Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said. You must not include Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in any activities that Biafrans will be doing in Biafra territory for the release of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and all prisoners of conscience.”
