As both men left the Aso Chambers waiting area, Buhari said to Tinubu, “This is the gallery where you will be meeting members of the press.”

This happened just a day after the President honored Kashim Shettima, the vice president-elect, in the State House Banquet Hall by bestowing upon Tinubu the highest national honors of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic and Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger.

Shettima was given a tour of the Vice President wing of the State House on Thursday by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

In advance of the formal transfer of power on Monday, May 29, 2023, both leaders exchanged paperwork.

But the president-elect prayed for health so he could govern the country.

“May God help me to carry the burden, to face the challenge, and to keep me in good health to fulfill the dream and aspiration of millions of our people,” Tinubu said after attending the Friday Jumaat prayers at the Presidential Villa mosque and touring the property with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Among other things, “eradicating corruption” was one of Tinubu’s stated objectives.

He added, pursue. Other than that, why are you in politics? My own is not identity politics. It’s not hunger or poverty politics. I have followed a man who has integrity, character and courage to say ‘Nigerians we need to change and change we have to. Change our mindset, kill corruption in our society.”

Tinubu urged Nigerians to back the transformation agenda of the All Progressives Congress.

However, he discussed his ‘Renewed Hope’ program, which aims to improve security, the economy, and poverty alleviation, as well as what Nigerians can usually anticipate from him.
